How to Upload a Creative World to Survival

    First start a new artistic map and build what you want to import to the survival game or if you have one already great.
    Then go into the survival game y'all want to import to and get yourself 25 hull blocks [for sake of example nosotros will employ a base] and create a base where you want the imported build to exist positioned. It will be named 'new base' by default.
    Quit game.

    Now for the fun bit.

    Ok go to the folder inside the saves binder that says 'shared ' [ C/ programfiles86/ steam / steamapps/ common/ Empyrion / saves/games/ ''''survival game proper noun'''' / 'shared / eleon station, ', , and open up the binder that has the name of the build [ for sake of case my base of operations is Eleon Station in artistic ] you want to import, then re-create all the files....
    At present open a new window to the saves binder, find the survival game, open the new base folder [ this is the base of operations y'all created in survival 10 minutes ago with 25 hull blocks ] that you want to import build to and delete all the files in that folder and paste the files you copied from your creative build folder into that folder, re-start the game and your creative build volition be in your survival map.!

    I use this to gear up my survival games that have been lost to corrupted files or a change in the relieve organisation so I can bring all the work I accept washed with me to a fresh map.

    Nice way to move to import my base, cars and SVs. But alas it does not import cargo data. Unless I have not found the items dat yet

    Hm, but that would be totally cheating, wouldn't it?
    Ok I won't look any more.
    But, importing your creative player to your survival game, is like grocery shopping. It was then dainty to become domicile to survival with a large loaded plasma gun when I found 1 of those huge toothy sand slugs trying to break into my house.
    Ok I won't practice it.

    Squeamish! This will be virtually usefull the next time an update breaks save compatibility.

    So, just to clarify (as I don't take whatsoever need of this at the moment) is it necessary that the game be running when yous do the delete/paste operation?

    To add to this.... you can just move the game.Dat file from the artistic save folder to the survival folder to modify the game type...and reverse it when washed... The game.Dat does non seem to be salve file specific. ..

    There may be game scenario setup fun to be had here as well....

    Start a survival game, switch to artistic, Build stations, enemy bases, and other chellenges. Switch back to survival and start playing....

    Could setup some fun multiplayer games too.

    Only a thought.

    personal avatar inventory yes just the inventory in the cargo boxes of the base of operations, dont stay... have an idea?

    If y'all want the stuff in your cargo boxes to be in there, you do it the style I explained at the top of thread, that method though non as fast as Robdogs method, volition proceed all inventory in all boxes fridges containers etc.

    I idea this was the signal of saving designs? Can't you load a design saved in creative into survival every bit long as you have the material to build it?

    Actually, i found that if you start every bit a survival map first, all changes and inventory stays using my method every bit well....

    I congenital a couple of multiplayer maps using this technique , cheers, very handy.

    The other way is more than for maps y'all demand to salvage, that's what I used information technology for, in bug testing we died a few times and lost everything with no solution to play on from that indicate, then this is how I got effectually it.

    You could cheat things in, only that defeats the purpose of the whole game, its sort of an oxymoron.

    Exactly what I try to emphasize. Sometimes in survival games nosotros make a big error and "should" start over. Only if the game causes a loss, I'm fully backside using information technology to become dorsum on your feet to continue on.

    Now I can continue to play without starting from scratch again.
    I invested many hours in this earth, and today my savegame got bugged, so I was not able to exit Omicron.

    Now I tin port all my hard work to new world.

    It does not ruin the game play, it just helps rebuild the aforementioned onetime base, that I am tired of rebuilding. This is still pre-alpha, and I beloved trekking effectually trying to notice what can go wrong. So I want to get-go a new game each time nosotros become a new update. Only I don't want to build the same edifice each time.
    So you understand my attachment to my Omicron summer crash site home, I will upload it and requite information technology to you lot all. Just right now, I am non home. :)
    So nope, does not ruin anything. Information technology makes each alter and update comfortable.
